Safety

Bike safety is very important to the Hampshire College Community Bike Program. These bikes receive a lot of wear and tear, and despite our efforts to maintain their quality, it is important to use great caution when riding.

  • Always maintain a safe speed.
  • Obey traffic signals, signs and pavement markings
  • Use caution when riding on automobile roadways.
  • We strongly encourage the use of bicycle helmets at all times.
  • These bikes are not equipped for night use.

If a bicycle is not working properly, please walk it over to the repairs rack behind the Robert Crown Center.
We will fix it as soon as is possible.

Never, Never Remove The Bicycles From Hampshire Campus.

And Remember
WHEN YOU RIDE A COMMUNITY BIKE, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
